Cardio

Cardio is probably the most straightforward aspect of O6P, but that doesn’t mean it’s not important. Cardiovascular exercise has been shown to be the best at burning fat, which is necessary to uncover your ab muscles. Cardiovascular exercise is any activity that increases your heart rate and keeps it up for an extended period of time. This type of execise typically involves constant movement. There are many different types of cardiovascular exercises, and it really doesn’t matter which one you do. Some typical examples are: running, bicycling, using an elliptical, playing most sports (basketball, soccer, etc.), what’s important is keeping your heart rate at an elevated level for a significant amount of time.

Researchers have found that in order to burn fat most effectively, cardio should be done for at least a half hour. So your cardio sessions should last from 30 minutes to an hour, and you should probably do it two or three times a week at least. The amount of exercise you do is one factor that controls your body fat percentage. The more exercise you get the more lean your body composition will be. So if you’ve been doing the program for a while and don’t see any improvement in body composition try increasing your cardio.

There are enough different forms of cardio that you should hopefully find one that you like.  Cardio can be fun. That would make this the easiest aspect of O6P.
